The Group's initial goals are to meet three times a year.  An inaugural meeting will be held over half a day in December 2014 (date tbc), to establish the kind of interest there is and explore ideas about the format and frequency of future meetings.

We envisage a range of activities with high profile speakers including the presentation of work in progress, and focussed workshops on shared concerns such as methodology, ethics, theory and the impact of our research, or potential for wider engagement with different users and beneficiaries.

We aim to organise events covering such interests as: technologies in health care; self-management and self care; innovation in health care; and mental and emotional health, producing scholarly outputs and engaging with research users and beneficiaries in the wider community.
