The BSA runs a range of events throughout the year including the flagship Annual Conference.

Study Groups and Special Interest Groups

There are  over forty study groups and special interest groups. Study Groups focus on major fields of research within the discipline, like Medical SociologyRace & Ethnicity, Youth, Work, Employment and Economic Life, and Religion

Publications

The BSA has published leading-edge academic books and journals, as well as magazines and newsletters for over 40 years.We currently have book series with Routledge (Sociological Futures) and Bristol University Press (21st Century Standpoints). Our journals are internationally recognised as being amongst the finest in the discipline. We have two wholly owned journals, Sociology and Work, Employment and Society, as well as affiliations to Cultural Sociology and Sociological Research Online

Network Magazine

Network is the British Sociological Association's member's magazine. Members receive three electronic issues a year (Spring, Summer and Autumn). Regular features include interviews with leading figures in the field, professional news, reports on specialist activities and study groups within the BSA, occupational mobility, postgraduate pages, book reviews, international reports, soapbox pieces and more.
