Organisation of the BSA

The Board of Trustees are the Directors of The British Sociological Association Ltd ("the company") and the voting members of the company (see Trustee Duties).  They are the decision-making body responsible for setting and implementing the strategy of the Association.  The Advisory Forum comprise these elected trustees, plus the President, plus a number of people who are co-opted onto the Advisory Forum to ensure that constituent members of the Association are appropriately represented.

The day to day running of the BSA is managed by a small, but dedicated team of staff based at our Durham Office.
